Why the bookings between my PMS and Pricepoint do not match?

In some cases, there will be a discrepancy in numbers between PMS and Pricepoint. Here are some reasons why:

1) Some PMSes use UTC as a time zone in their reports, whereas Pricepoint uses the property's local time.

2) Pricepoint will not accept any bookings that have $0 in total reservation. This booking will simply not appear in Pricepoint. Sometimes, customers set $0 bookings either because it's easier or because they have another way of tracking these numbers.

3) Not all booking modifications are sent to Pricepoint. For example, if a PMS allows deleting bookings (as opposed to canceling), e.g. FrontDesk Master, then Pricepoint will not be notified about such an event. The booking will still remain visible in Pricepoint.

4) Remember that if your Pricepoint is connected via a channel manager and not PMS, then Pricepoint will always see only the bookings that passed through the channel manager. It will not see bookings added manually to PMS such as walk-ins or email bookings.

5) Finally, whenever you are looking at a certain report, please make sure that reports use the same way to summarize bookings. For example, bookings can be summed up by check-in date or stay date. Pricepoint's reports usually use stay date, i.e. they precisely allocate the revenue to a specific date as opposed to allocating revenue to a check-in date.
